Introduction
In comparison to youth of generations past, today's youth are considered by many as lazy, and uncaring to the world outside their own. However in an analysis of youth of the 1980's we find that many aspects of today's youth culture stemmed from those of the 80's. This can be seen in the realms of politics, technology, social issues, and pop culture. Pop culture in particular is important to youth, because dance crazes and movies are still very important to today's culture because without them youth would not be able to be free to express what they like more freely.
